Boxing Day with Granny

Mr hazelh's sister Sarah, her husband Alistair, their son AZG, and Scampi visited today. A few more presents were exchanged, we munched our way through cold turkey and other left-overs for lunch, and we popped out for a (curtailed) walk on the  beach (in freezing rain). Just before the visitors headed home again we introduced Alistair to Catan. He was soon hooked - and I won (ha!) This evening I am going to make soup from turkey stock - yum :-)

Tomorrow we are travelling back up the country to Northumberland to see my family (and walkingMarj). The journey has seven stages: (1) car; (2) train; (3) train; (4) tube; (5) train; (6) train; (7) car/taxi. Fingers crossed that it all goes as smoothly as our trip south last Saturday.

My blip is of Mr hazelh's mother and her grandson AZG, with Mr hazelh looking on. Our nephew has grown somewhat since last blipped on 17th June 2017.

Exercise today: tiny bit of walking (4495 steps).
