Festive NHS

A Merry Christmas to all.

A lie in until 8am! Then, once ready, off to visit my (90 year old) mother in law in her nursing home; collect my (92 year old) blind aunt from hospital; then head to North Berwick where my (97 year old) mother was giving us Christmas lunch. Not the full blown turkey but a lovely casserole and a home made ice cream dessert. She had insisted on doing lunch as it saved her travelling.

A lovely day then back to the hospital and home by 8pm to relax and finish opening presents. And to reflect that I hope some of the longevity genes cross over to the male side of families.

The blip is of a member of staff in the hospital who had taken to the Festive spirit with enthusiasm to make sure the day passed off well.
