Only 5 of the possible 12 households in our family ate together this Christmas, though two more arrived for the evening.

Even with a rule of one-gift per household not individuals (children excepted), and a strict ££ maximum, a phenomenal amount of wrapping paper was generated (boosted by the presence of two under-sixes).
