Sensory bathroom

Hope you've all had a lovely Christmas Day whatever shape or form it has taken. We went to visit Mum this afternoon and as we walked in, it became apparent the building work which has been going on for a good few weeks now is complete. The have installed a sensory bathroom for the residents. It looks superb and I hope they will find it of great benefit for them. Unfortunately, I doubt this will include Mum. One of the traits of her dementia is an aversion to water and being wet. That was actually one of the indicators that manifested itself when the Alzheimer's took hold. She would be tumble drying clothes over and over again and every time I went to fold them and put them away she would insist they were still wet and want them back in the dryer. I'd not thought of this in recent times, but this afternoon on the way back home it was up there in my thoughts.
Been a busy family day. Quiet chill time tomorrow!
