Absinthe + Anchorman = WIN

We totally won at life today; to kickstart Kie's 30th birthday celebrations we went to see Anchorman at the Electric Cinema. I absolutely adore that cinema; for a start it's very small, so you rarely get any idiots or screaming kids there, secondly you can reserve a sofa (which is what we did and it was SWEET) and thirdly, they serve absinthe and cake there. And they serve the absinthe properly, with the water over a sugar cube business. I was actually quite surprised by how nice it was, as I've only ever had absinthe once before and had chugged it neat from the bottle during a Most Haunted drinking game... Anyhoo, at midnight, during one of the films best bits (I'M IN A GLASS CASE OF EMOTION!!) Kie turned 30 and we did an absinthe toast to his health.
