Ready For The Invasion

Mrs W and myself are having a quiet Christmas day to our selves (the first since the kids were born) and getting ready for an invasion of grandchildren, children, dog and friends on Boxing day.
 
The spare room has been made bomb proof so that the grandchildren and friends can play in there (I did say bomb proof, how it will stand up to the grandchildren heaven knows . . . ??) and we are putting out a big buffet so that we don’t have to rush around with sit-down dinners and washing up.  The pressies are under the tree, and the accumulation of Christmas crackers from over many years are all in the laundry basket and have to be used up before they are allowed to go home.
