Come On You Blues!
Should you be following English Premier League Football, you may be aware that Jose Mourinho, the 'golden one,' the manager of Manchester United, was very cross last night when his team merely drew with Leicester at King Power Stadium. Harry Maguire netted the equaliser for Leicester in the last kick of the game.
Mourinho virtually blew a fuse, criticising his players for missing 'joke chances,' reckoning they should have won 10-0. He described them as 'childish.' Is that the way to talk to top flight footballers? What made me indignant was that the so-called 'pundits' agreed with him.
Len, of course, was ecstatic. Here he is wearing his blue and white Santa hat that he collected last night at the ground. Basil was pretty chipper too. He wagged his tail.
A 'clueless' treasure hunt on Radio Leicester at 9 am this morning, led me into Loughborough again to shop at Alchemy, a chocoholics' heaven in Churchgate Mews, where I bought the last box of gin chocolates. Popped in to wish Aziz all the best. I think he was glad of the company even though he was busy.
We were going to have raclette tonight, but the machine has conked out. It also tripped a couple of circuits in the house. How come it took until Christmas Eve to find this out? By the time Len finally established that the device was at fault, I was no longer hungry. The mulled wine was excellent compensation.
