Christmas Eve At the Vineyard

Ramblers, muddy boots, children and dogs. All were welcome this afternoon at the Mount Vineyard in Shoreham to celebrate Christmas Eve before some of them were off to the church nearby.. it was also a celebration for the owner, Simon, whose partner had given birth to a baby girl yesterday. All her family from Ireland were here to celebrate this big event.

We walked there across the muddy fields and through the woods but it is the first time we had been there in the dark. We decided against returning without lighting and got the train back from the village station. We are a brisk 20 minute walk from the station to home. A perfect afternoon.
