Turkey Gate

Today has been a day of finishing wrapping, tidying the house, arranging bedding, peeling potatoes, coughing and last minute shopping - including the Turkey!!!

Last year I set myself a challenge to pick up a Reduced turkey. I did it after visiting several shops so thought I'd try again today and was relieved to find one in the very first shop we went in!! Job done!

I did still end up popping into Waitrose (where I got it from last year) just to see what they had on offer and laughed at the fact people were hanging around the turkeys waiting for them to have a yellow reduced sticker on them!!!! 

Im now almost done and can start to enjoy that 'finished' feeling. I'm off for just over a week now and Mr W and I are going out for a meal tonight (if I can stop coughing long enough to enjoy it!!) and my precious brood are all coming to us tomorrow.

And I am pleased to announce I came joint first in the Great Blippish Bake off yesterday (this morning!) and would like to thank JazzyB for hosting and LadyG for judging!! It was fun and nice to take a bit of time out in my busy head to just sit and play with sugar!!!
