Looking up in Ludlow

This is taken at the top of Broad Street in Ludlow showing the tower of the church of St. Laurence standing above the roof of Boddenham's shop building - one of a row of beautiful Tudor shops dating from 1404. I chose it as I liked the mix of buildings from different periods.

Yesterday was a busy one. First I went to my brother's (Blipper malcornorton) for the present swap and tasty refreshments plus a good chat with him and J.

Next stop was Ludlow where we had a wander round. We were going to get something to eat in a cafe but it was so mild that we bought a sandwich in the excellent sandwich shop and ate it in The Market Square.

We then drove into Herefordshire to visit F's daughter and family. We had tea there joined by F's other daughter and husband.

On our way back we went to F's grandson's to see his first house which he's bought with his girlfriend in the same village as his parents.

On the way back we called at Ludlow. F used to live there and we looked through the window of the pub where he used to meet friends in case there was anyone there that he knew. Most of his old gang were inside, one playing the piano for carol singing. We went in and spent some time catching up with them before continuing home.

I arrived home at 12.00am - a full but very enjoyable day.
