Fun sewing / punching

I didn't know the English word for it. In Dutch is is called "punchen".
Punching means that you make loops with a puncture needle (has an eye and no barbs).

You make those loops on a piece of cotton that you have provided with a pattern.
You work with the back of the work towards you. Needles develop through the needle through the dust.

The length of the loops can also vary for a 3D effect.
It is a nice way to make small paintings or miniature rugs and cushions for example.
