Surface tension
But not amongst those in Phuket....
First full day in Thailand has passed in a haze of warmth and rose wine... L had booked us in to a beach club 15 minutes walk from here, so after leisurely breakfasts and a foray out to find water by us, we pitched up there, and grabbed our sunloungers in what might, tendentiously, be described as a rather teutonic style. Lunch, after lounging, was long and libatious... You don't want to know how much rose we consumed between us. We sat around the table for hours laughing and exchanging stories. Lovely family time, I have to say.
After lunch, Mr A headed back to the hotel for a much needed snooze, and I went for a swim in the sea (not immediately after lunch I hasten to add) with L before heading back here in turn. Later still, there was a re-gathering of the clans at the Beer Garden where we ate and drank last night for another quick beer. But overall, I think everyone is so chilled that I doubt if our eyelids will stay open much longer.
