Mother and Daughter

Today was my birthday - but we had been holding off the celebration as the family are due to join us tomorrow (Saturday).  As a result, while very pleasant, the day was a little more subdued than my normal birthdays.   

However, all that changed when the kitchen door opened at 6:45 pm yesterday and Jess walked through it - a day early.  What a lovely surprise!
