Composition No 3006 - Monotone

A year or so back a pal took me to a Roman town deep in the Western Desert.
Dusty and hot with the nearest lake 30 miles away. Two thousand years ago it had been a bustling port on that now distant lake.
As we walked along the pier amongst the dust and the fishbones we reflected on how quickly things change.
