Protea.....

After an early walk and other tasks, I took Maisie to see Mary, her Vet, this morning. Maisie has had an ongoing problem with yeast in her left ear and needed to be sedated today for more treatment. She had her feet shaved into “poodle paws” as well to facilitate regular inspections for dried seeds and barley grass. As it was Mary also pulled a grass seed from one of Maisie’s ears. She had been shaking her head while out walking this morning.
Proteas are amazing plants.... quite exotic and very detailed as in the one shown here. It is growing in friends Norma’s and Ken’s garden. Ken visited this morning. We did a garden inspection and discussed plant propagation. I called in to see Norma and Ken on my way home from picking Maisie up from the Vet this afternoon. Maisie was so pleased to see Ken again. He is one of her favourite people.
