Mist on Catbells
I had an early appointment in Keswick today. Later, I ambled down to Derwentwater in the hopes that the mist might give photo opportunities. I was spoilt for choice! Wisps of cloud were dancing on the lower slopes of Catbells leaving just the summit itself clear, all reflected again in the dead calm waters of the lake.
To give contrast to the dreamy background with this tiny island and its alder saplings, I had to clamber ungracefully down steep and very slippery rocks to reach the shore. I think it was worth it.
