Wild Wednesday
I was struggling for a photo today as I had been stuck in the office all day again and hadn’t seen anything particularly wild but this spider caught my sons eye so I took its photo. I’m not totally sure if it was still alive actually but it was in an usual place, between two panes of glass so I have no idea how it got there.
I had an odd day really. On my way to work I witnessed the aftermath of an accident, or so I thought, where ambulance crew were performing cpr on someone in the road. It was awful as played on my mind all day. It’s the second time I have seen someone being resuscitated and both times it has affected me. It is very brutal and makes me think what a wonderful job the paramedics and doctors and nurses do. They must be very strong characters to deal with that regularly.
Being so close to Xmas I felt an overwhelming feeling of sadness for the victim and his family. It would be sad any time but at this of year it feels doubly sad. Later on I discovered it wasn’t actually an accident but that he had a medical emergency. I don’t know if he survived but the air ambulance came in so I hope that means he was ok.
All life is precious, whether we are human, or like this little spider. Embrace every day because we just don’t know what is in store for us. Live everyday like it could be the last... appreciate those around you, tell them you love them and do something that makes you smile xxx
