Wednesday mizzle
A delightful start to the day with Elizabeth, slurping down hearty porridge with dollops of maple syrup. Proposal writing to get ahead of the game as I have an upcoming holiday in January, and this is a rare instance of planning to avoid a last-minute panic.
Lunch of burger and chips where one work friend had to play 'put the dinosaur in the purse' with her baby. Food intake is become increasingly unhealthy in the run-up to Christmas.
A long evening meeting with fellow trustees of our refugee support charity. A wide variety of issues debated, some sensitive, some mundane. Frantic minuting by me, done as accurately as possible, even though I only have two hands.
Late stroll through the common for a debrief with Hannah, as has become the norm in order to retain sanity in a group with such wildly different styles. A midnight cup of tea and a damp moonlight flit back.
