Promenade
The Winter Solstice, and it was relentlessly grey and foggy. This was the better part of the day when it wasn't raining. Though, at high tide everything was still and reflecting under the clammy blanket. I waited a while for a train to cross the viaduct, but my timing was wrong (see Extra of the bridge to nowhere).
We had had plans to go somewhere more spectacular to celebrate the shortest day, but it was a bit pointless in these conditions. I spent the afternoon feeling inadequate while admiring the photographs in the 10 year celebratory book of the Landscape Photographer of the Year.
