The Winter Solstice

The days of the year are flying past quickly now with Christmas flying towards us even quicker.
Today is the shortest day and longest night of the year. Happily then it starts getting lighter in the evenings with the promise of Spring just a couple of months away.
My blip just happens to be a long loved Christmas ornament which bounces up and down when touched.
