Weihnachtsmarkt

Today is the shortest day of the year.  Didn't feel like it in my office.

I had an E-Mail from IBM.  Thanking me for the 2 files, asking me for another 3 and telling me that I was right, the upload thing didn't work.

I laughed and forwarded the E-Mail to the people in my team.

I also sent my new IBM contact (with a name and a telephone number) the other 3 files he wanted.

Got an E-Mail back about 30 minutes that included a link to the solution.  And I clicked on the link.

"Oops - that page can't be found" was the message I could read.

It had to be really.

The rest of the day was filled with a variety of other k-nifflige problems.  K-nifflig is becoming one of my favourite words.  It means tricky, fiddly and is used to describe problems like the ones I deal with.

And then just as I was about to leave, my colleague told me that I have to support a program next week and he had to give me the crash course on how to use it & how to fix the commonest errors.

45 minutes later and I'm the expert if anything goes wrong with it next week.  That chances of that happening are remote, so it's almost guaranteed to blow up on Wednesday morning.

Today's Blip is another from the Auslaender Seasonal Blip Collection.  The market was pretty busy, although it was relatively early.  We're planning another visit tomorrow - this time for Flammbrot.
