There are plans to build a new animal rendering plant just outside Norton Disney.

Understandably, no one in the surrounding villages is happy given that the same company already has a similar plant in Skellingthorpe, which had the unenviable nickname of Smelly Skelly because of the smells from the lorries delivering animal carcasses and from the plant itself.
