Seasonal Card

Ingeborg suggested a seasonal card could be the optional theme for this week’s Abstract Thursday.
Started out with a clear plastic snowflake and started a two hour journey to come up with this.
Didn’t mind staying in as it’s wet, dark and miserable outside.
Roll on the Winter Solstice!
Broke off in the middle to make a chocolate fudge cake using my tried and tested recipe that is a family favourite.
Made it so many times for birthday cakes and every celebration you can think of.
Thought l could make it with my eyes closed.
Obviously not, forgot to line the baking tins with oiled parchment ( a vital necessity).
Half of it still stuck in the tins as l turned them out.
Never mind, have the three granddaughters here and they’ve already polished a lot of it off, no complaints about the taste.
New cake now made.
Out to WI tonight for our Christmas meet.
Local florist coming and we are all making table decorations along with other fun and games.
