St Andrew Square
Took the car for its MoT this morning, and strolled back through the Dean Gallery grounds and the west end to Princes Street. It was early and quiet and for a change I actually enjoyed being there. Spent an age over coffee in Costa at the corner of Hanover Street just watching the scene outside, then nipped across the road for a visit to the 'Symbolism - Van Gogh to Kandinsky' exhibition; it was stunning. I love all those spooky forests and moody landscapes.
Then I finally gave in to temptation and headed along to John Lewis and bought the iPad I'd been coveting for ages. Just as I reached the till I received a phone call from the garage advising me that the car really needed four new tyres; so a pretty expensive day!
Took this blip in Charlotte Square; Edinburgh was so beautiful today I could have wept. When I totted up the cost of an iPad and four new tyres I did. ;0)
