Boys like cookies too

The grandsons wanted to come make cookies today.. Oskar our historian says he is going to save my kitchenaid mixer forever ( in spite of the fact that it throws flour all over when adding it even on the lowest speed) and it just wouldn’t be Christmas without these roll out cookies. Oskar did more eating and Niklas more of the work ( but the girls can do it even more independently .. the boys use more colored sugar...!) in between breaks while we looked at basketball photos, heard about his coaching etc, and also somehow got on to a Galapagos discussion resulting in getting the Galapagos photo book out from 2001 to see the horses we rode and all those great creatures under the sea. But they ( well, Nik... Oskar was engrossed in spongebob movie on tv by now) , persevered and finished the ( half) recipe so they filled a tin to take home ( H is doing that) and I am collapsed on the couch with the iPad while the kitchen looks like disaster with sugar all over.... but I can put the cookie cutters etc away now!! Whew.
