Christmas decorations

My 8-10 year olds coloured little pictures then crept into the teachers' room and put them up for me.

I explained they have Ramadan and I have Christmas. I was surprised how much some of them knew. One girl asked why I wasn't Muslim and so I said I was born in a different country. It was a good chat. I don't think I said anything controversial. We did have one parent complain we were trying to convert their child because the teacher wanted to have a Christmas party.
