Christmas walking event
Our Third Wednesday girls did our Christmas walk today. We walked down to Busby and had a soup and sandwich lunch in the Railway Inn. You can tell we take our Christmas walk very seriously from the hats etc.
The weather was lovely, mild and sunny and no wind. We walked mostly on country roads. It is a walk we do every Christmas but this time we reversed the walk so that we ended up in Busby.
Each year a prize is given for the best hat. This year it was for a whole outfit, and deservedly won by Cath.
Halfway thru the walk we were treated to a 'rusty nail' by Christine, and at lunch the 2M's gave us all a glass of wine, so it was quite boozy, and most enjoyable.
Marion makes up a book of pictures of our year, and as this is our last walk, she brought all the books over the ten years we have walked together. It has been decided that we will have occasional outings, but no longer organise walks.
A presentation was made to both Marion and Margaret for their superb organisation over the ten years. What these girls don't know about public transport is not worth knowing!
Sad to end, but we will all remain friends.
