The Old Forge (Wednesday 20th December 2017)

I've been thinking lofty thoughts since I had the attic above the front bedroom boarded. By the time I'd filled it with all my stuff I was converted to the idea of decluttering the house by stashing everything out of sight (but, importantly, not throwing it away).

Of course, there was still plenty of stuff left, and so my attention turned to the second loft space on the other side of the central chimney around which the forge was built. I recently had lights and power points installed up there and today this too was boarded. Unlike the first loft you can't stand up in it, but it has a far greater floor area that I will soon be making full use of.
