Lady Sage Days

By LadySage

This is a little bit spooky.

The other night, just as my live in carer went out so did the bulb. I knew I wouldn't be able to change it myself but I tried jiggling it just to see if I could do it one handed, no chance.

Tested the light switch a few times without success.

Phoned my brother to ask if he'd come round to change the light bulb for me and he said he would as he had letters to go and post anyway.

I didn't think he'd need it but I got the light ladders and put them under the light and sat down to wait for him.

I was sitting there finishing off my snack when all of a sudden the light came back on !

I tried the light switch and it turned the light off and on again.

It's been working fine ever since.

It really seemed as though I'd put the ladders there and 'someone' had fixed the light for me.

I've never known this to happen before.

Aside from this my cold has turned a corner. Overnight and with the help of some prednisolone which I have for emergencies, also with a terrible sweat happening twice, I seemed to emerge with some measure of improvement.
I've been able to do more although I'm feeling more shattered when I do but it's still good to feel able to do more.
Had the dressings changed yesterday which went well. I was told everything was healing well and that I can wash again now. Have to be careful to make sure everything on the wounds is dry before getting dressed.
Think I'll resort to mum's wash mitts as they do the job without needing any rinsing and you don't get soaking wet but clean.
Good job I've got a cold is all I'll say and I've been trying not to stand too close to anyone!
Hope everyone else is doing well.
