Bald Eagle

By JohnJD

Last week NM told me about this hedge of trees just outside the village and how the leaves lit up when the sun hit them. I was out on my bike today and as I went over the railway bridge I could see them in the distance so went to take a photograph of them.

In the sunshine the leaves lit up like blossom but when the sun went behind the clouds they darkened. Then as the sun re-appeared from behind the clouds again they lit up as the sunlight swept across them from left to right. It was magical to see.

You can compare the trees with and without sunshine here. If only there had been a bright blue sky behind them.
