Schools out!

What a morning. Not only did Phoebe leave her bag at home this morning, meaning that I had to go home to get it (a 20 min round trip), but Alexander then left his hat in the library. Two trips to school and two trips to the library in the space of an hour. I also had to own up in the library to having lost one of the kids book. Ooops! I’ve been renewing it for the last 3 months but thought with Christmas just around the corner I should come clean. The lady behind the desk was very understanding and hasn’t charged me (yet).

So any way after going back and forth we crossed town to make the most of gymnastics. Alexander was super excited and couldn’t wait to jump in the foam pit. We pulled up, got out the car, walked around to the entrance and then saw it was closed! Cue sad face from Xander and me quickly scrabbling for a plan B!

We settled on the soft play at the garden centre after some negotiations and headed off back across town again.

After a play and a coffee (for me) we had a look at the Christmas decorations. Xander was particularly interested in this reindeer. A: “Is it rudolf mummy?”
Me: “urm maybe”
A: ”it looks a bit dead?”
Me: “oh.... look at these pretty baubles!”

Putting the morning behind us we collected pheebs and her bestie from school. They were both super excited after a fun end of term Christmas party. Santa came to deliver presents and they didn’t do any work ALL day! Lily stayed for tea and the 3 kiddies played nicely. The count down to Christmas has no truly begun now schools out.
