Liberated
The soft brown earth grounds me on the climb,
Whilst the sunlight soothes my skin.
Nature embraces and listens and the song of the sparrow hawk distracts me from my internal thought.
The wind tugs at my unrest and settles my soul,
My shadow turns as I circle and I see a difference.
The generosity of the view gives perspective and I descend anew.
That ribbon (that I didn't put there in the first place) had come away from the rock and blown into the grass, I picked it up and took delight in its liberation. Later I will use it to wrap my niece's birthday present, it's just the right length.
