600mm Landscape
Location: Teddesley Park, South Staffordshire
I really like the perspective compression achieved with long telephoto lenses. It's not often used in landscape photography but on this occasion I thought it suited the scene. More to the point there was no public access into the park.
A comment on yesterday's post compared the shot to the work of a local Staffordshire artist, John Waterhouse. This is quite reminiscent of his early work, where he would layer images of field scenes in a monochromatic style. I'll admit I'd not even noticed the church spire in the far distance when I took the shot. That is the parish church in Penkridge, about 3 miles away.
