Sunrise

The nurse opened my curtains in the morning saying "I think you should look outside". She wasn't wrong. This beautiful sunrise heralded a new day in which I could pack my bags, say goodbye to the hospital and celebrate my daughter's 17th birthday. We took it easy with a film, takeaway and birthday cake.
