A Surprise Visitor

I rarely put up photos of myself on social media, or even Blip, but this one is special. I doubt that he even knows in what high esteem I hold him and how special he is. Professionally and personally he has supported me in the past, and I think at times, I have done the same for him.

We’ve known each other for something like 15 years, but not seen each other for three. It was such a surprise when his face appeared around my office door. He looks so well, and that fabulous smile still brightening a room. We had coffee and time for a quick selfie and he was gone again. All too quick, as so many LC staff wanted to say hello too, but such a lovely surprise.

I wish he was still at LC, and carry a secret hope that one day he will be back; but wish him all the very best of fun with his latest project in China.
