30 years ago today Mary & I attended Lancaster Registry Office and were married. There were 5 in the room, Mary, me, the Registrar and two witnesses, Johan Schep and Vicky Taylor. On the way home we stopped at the local Little Chef to celebrate and were given a free coffee and toasted tea cake. The staff brought plastic flowers to our table. It was great! The following day we celebrated our marriage with family and friends from afar at Capernwray Hall. This too was great. So to celebrate 30 happy, full, fantastic years of marriage we are in cold, clear, bright, Venice. I just need to find somewhere that serves toasted tea cakes!
