Gaudete
evening all,
Had a quick trip out to the east again to see a couple of people who live in the more 'rural' areas,
not a trip that should be made in my fancy oxford brogues, a fact brought sharply into focus when I stopped at my first call which found me parked in what can only be described as a badly designated cesspool rather than what most people would understand as a roadway,
Once past the moat of shit, I then had to negotiate a feral beast which was more donkey than dog, then (genuinely) I had to wait for a gap in the Archery practice before whizzing up the path to the house..
if a portcullis had descended or vats of boiling oil fell from a height onto my bounce, I really wouldn't have been too surprised.
My fault, I turned left at Peterborough instead of right and inadvertently ended up in the 1100's.
night all
