Campbeltown Picture House

Very rainy day here in Campbeltown so no walk along the beach this Sunday.
Instead we took Fergus out for a walk after lunch out to the old shipyard.
Back in town we went to the Picture House so I could take advantage of the Picture House open day to have a look round.Lots of people had the same idea which was great to see.
Beachcomber went for a wander with Fergus then had a look himself.He was particularly interested in seeing the exhibition boards in the open space between screen 1 and screen 2. The story of the Picture House and memories of former customers is covered with text, quotes, photos, film adverts from the local paper and so on. The information is a combination of the stories the archive group unearthed and the research done by the author of the forthcoming book. There is also a timeline of the Picture House history and restoration in a frieze round the walls of the cafe. Opening day/night is Friday 22nd when the big attraction will be the new Star Wars movie.
