English pleasures
Sometimes it’s the smallest things which put a smile on my face. I know I can read (and frequently do) the Guardian online, but nothing really beats a paper copy of the Observer, especially when it is the Food Monthly week. So pleased I ventured out to get a Sunday paper. Nigel Slater has long been a favourite of mine, I love his writing style, the unpretentiousness of his recipes and pretty much infallible results.
