My star keeps falling down

There should be an angel at the top of the Christmas tree, but last year when I took the tree down  I put the angel in a "safe" place so that it would not get damaged.  Can I find it?  No.  This bauble in the shape of a star is what I am using at the top of the tree instead, but it keeps slipping down.  The hunt for the angel continues.
