fake christmas

We call it ‘fake Christmas;’ the boys and their partners will not be spending Christmas Day with us this year so, we’re having a Christmas(y) dinner today.  There will be a lot of merriment, crackers, probably too much food - as I write this Anniemay is already slaving away in the kitchen.

She was up at 6.30 this morning, hoovering, laying the table and decorating the dog.

Well - it’s only twice a year (‘cos we’ll do this all again, when Ma-in-law comes to stay for real Christmas).
