High and Dry!
A chilly but bright and sunny morning so, after pegging out the washing on the line, Ollie and I walked round the bay to check on Peridot. Incredibly she is totally safe and sound, sitting on her bilge keels, up on the grassy gravelly bank. Even more amazingly, in the cabin the kettle is still sitting on the stove!
You can see from the photo just how high the tide was, and how wild the storm was, to have driven her so high up the shore. She still has her huge mooring attached, she'd just dragged it rather than breaking free.
Unasked, the local farmer has offered to crane Peridot back down the shore when there is a suitable tide, and I will be there with my camera!
Poor Ollie was well and truly done in by the time we got home. He was also soaked through because the heavens opened while we were out and we got caught in a horrid sleety shower. So much for trying to dry clothes outside in December!
