Pot A

Approximately hrmph years ago when I was at school I did ceramics for a term or two. I loved it but, stupidly, never carried on with it.

4 Thursdays ago I finally got round to starting a ceramics evening class and today I got to collect my first finished pieces.

This pot started as a pinch pot, then was built up using the coil method. At week two I was asked what I wanted to do to decorate the pot. Well, that kinda threw me. After some studying of the shape and a perusal of the tools available I took a knife to it and it ended up looking kind of lilyish. Then last week I got fantastically messy playing around with glazes and oxides.

I am having a ball! :)
