FRUSTRATION AND...

...bitter disappointment.

The Rev left at 7am collecting O and his girlfriend M to meet her Mum at Stansted. Plane landed at 8:30....they waited and waited and waited...eventually they were told she was being interview as her papers to travel were not correct. Briefly M and her parents are from Albania but have lived in Greece for more than 20 years. M now has a Greek passport and was told her parents could visit with section 10 papers. These were sorted and so they treated her to a flight so she could spend Christmas with us.

After 8 hours they were told she was not able to enter and was being sent back to Greece. The disappointment was awful.

Later we discovered there were 10 people from Athens...7 were sent to Kefalonia... M’s Mum and 2 others were sent to Thessaloniki !!!! No accommodation and they would have to get a flight back to Athens on Sunday. And to make matters worse the Greek authorities said there is nothing wrong with her papers. So bloody frustrating.

This evening I had my works Christmas do followed by friend’s party.....both sadly overshadowed.

RECOVERY PATH....day 48/60....exhausting and frustrating immigration/airport trip!!!! And £60 parking fee!!!
