What a lovely, if hectic day!

John popped up with David's birthday pressie (it's tomorrow) and Alan was delighted to see him.  He stayed for lunch.

Gill came for coffee and cake in the afternoon and Alan was over the moon to see her too.  She brought Lola a stuffed beaver (behave! :-) which is a great hit.  I am sure it shall be blipped at some point (unless Lola tears it apart before I get the chance!  lol) 

After Gill left Alan went out with Ally to get his haircut but the barber was queued out the door so that didn't happen.  Will try again next week.

David and I were going to Ele and Kenny's for dinner and we called off at the last minute as we heard the motorway was closed due to an accident.  After thinking about it for five more minutes, we thought stuff it, let's just go.  So we did and the motorway was fine!  Alan and Gail were there too.  great night.

Motorway was closed on the way back (for repairs) and there was a diversion but we were still home on time.
