The Denkmal

The Monument to the Battle of Nations - or the Battle of Leipzig - in 1813. The monument was only built in the first decade of the 20th century hence the very art nouveau style of the sculpture and architecture. It has many, many steps to climb to the top! The is the statue of St Michael.
