The annual blip of the Christmas Tree
Has pride of place in the conservatory each year. Beautifully decorated and a joy to behold. Great reflections in the windows too. When I tried the "sparking lights" scene setting it gave too many starbursts which distracted from the image.
A good session down at the gym this morning and a major milestone passed on the Christmas list as all the cards and parcels were posted this afternoon.
Became an expensive afternoon too as we discovered the source of a draught in the study, one of the hinges in the fanlight is faulty meaning there's a gap between the window and the frame. A local glazing expert, that we've used before, will be coming on Monday to sort it out.
Even more expensive will be sorting out the shower. Susan discovered that the shower head was dripping. Turns out it is very likely to be the valve in the powershower box in the loft which is not closing properly. The shower was installed in 2010 and has already had a new box in the loft. Ringing Aqualisa we found out that a fixed repair would cost £300! But a whole new system would "only" cost £570 which would have another 5 year guarantee.
A very pleasant, relaxing evening in watching "Have I Got News for You", QI and episode 4 of the current series of Decectorist.
