Canalside

It was another slippery walk down to school this morning but we made it without incident thankfully. I'm glad I've had the last few days off work, although I'll be making up for it this weekend and with plenty of patients no doubt.

It was our last WI walk of the year, and despite being a tad icy under foot, we had a good turn out. We did an easy one through, the woods, along the canal to the Five Rise, stopping for tea and a late breakfast, then returning along the canal and river.

This evening, having decided the damsen gin was ready, I had a big pile of damsens that just looked too good to waste. So we now have 2 tasty gin soaked damsen, and cranberry cakes. Maybe not for the kids!
