A flash of light

A nice day decorating the tree and locating favourite decorations from the loft. Wine at the hairdressers was a treat too, although a walk round the shops to find replacement bulbs for the fairy lights was fruitless. You can't get those anymore I was told. No wonder the planet is drowning in plastic waste, having to replace a whole set of lights for a few bulbs. The thing is, that you can't get his type of light with a flower end now, just led bulbs. They may last longer and use less power but my string of lights is probably 15 years old and the only thing wrong with it is that about 4 bulbs don't light. Ah well. I can't save the planet on my own so I'll give in gracefully and buy some new led for next year.
