Not my friend!

I was wandering around the garden path looking at the lovely flowers, hydrangea, gerbera, hibiscus, gladioli and many others when i spied this guy eating his early dinner.  I don't think it a caterpillar but it might be as it is sitting on a swan plant.  I have been known to chase these guys away...even though I react badly if stung by them.  They are real ugly brutes and fly with their legs dangling.  

The extras are the gerbera out in full flower,  the hibiscus (that looked like it was dying but is now flowering, and a butterfly having a drink on a swan plant flower.
